Welcome to the Vernon Smith Experimental Economics Laboratory at Purdue University

This is ORSEE, The Online Recruitment System for Economics Experiments.

If you are an undergraduate student at Purdue University you have a chance to participate in economics and management experiments which are both fun and rewarding. Experiments are designed by individual researchers to study behavior in a wide range of social and business situations. Most of the experiments involve multiple student participants, so they provide a chance for you to match your wits with others. Cash earnings are paid at the end of each session, and your performance greatly affects these cash earnings.

Experiments generally last between 1/2 and 2 hours. After you register, individual researchers will send you invitations by email to scheduled experimental sessions.

Details about each experiment cannot be given until the start of that particular session, since it may affect the outcome. All participation is voluntary and risks are minimal. The experiments and methodology have been approved by the University Committee on the Use of Human Research Subjects.

You can register your interest in being a participant by clicking on the "register" tab on the left side of the screen. Please use your Purdue e-mail address when registering.

Any personal information which you give to us will preserve your anonymity and will be kept for research purposes only. Confidentiality is guaranteed.

Participants must register for an account using their @purdue.edu email address.
